Karl Morris Federal Election 2019 Senate candidate
Karl Morris is the Managing Director of Goop Digital one of Australia’s leading digital agencies for small to medium businesses in regional Australia. Karl has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) Deakin University and a Master’s (Virtual Communications) R.M.I.T. Karl currently sits on the board of Gateways .
He loves working in regional Australia, particularly Victoria with small to medium businesses.
Karl grew up in Ballarat attending Villa Maria (St Francis Xavier) primary school and St Patrick’s College before going to the school of Mines Ballarat and then completing his tertiary degree at what was then the Warrnambool Institute of Advanced Education (now Deakin University). Karl returned to study and completed his Masters (Virtual Communications) at R.M.I.T in 2006.
Karl commenced his working career as an accountant in Melbourne back in the late 1980’s before working in the meat industry in QLD. He returned to his home town of Ballarat where he joined his family business (H.A Morris Butchers and Smallgoods ) and was elected to the local city council.
Following amalgamation of local councils in the early 90s, Karl and his girlfriend Amanda took off overseas to live for several years. On his return to Australia he became an export manager to Asia again working in the meat industry.
In the late 90’s Karl commenced work at George Patterson Bates Advertising before moving into digital advertising sales at around the turn of the century. In 2007 he established Goop Digital in the back bedroom at home with his now wife Amanda. Today Goop Digital is one of Australia’s leading digital agencies for small to medium business in regional Australia. Goop Digital is based in Geelong and specialises in Websites, Google Ads and social media for small to medium businesses across Australia.
Karl is married to Amanda and has two daughters, Harriet and Tilly (Matilda), a cocker spaniel called Kevin and a cat called Flo. He lives in Geelong and is a passionate Richmond Tigers supporter attending games regularly with his daughter Tilly and extended family. He loves to travel with his family and loves going to the beach and surfing and is regularly dragged to the snow fields in Victoria by his daughters.
